When I first received this knife, it did not open super easily and the lock was VERY difficult to unlock; but then I remembered that my CRKT M-16ZSF was the same way when it was brand new. Well, after about 100 opening-closing cycles, it opens quite smoothly and unlocks with one hand beautifully. The sharpness of this knife out the box is incredible! The G-10 handles grip nicely without cutting to sharply into your hand. The overall shape of the handle facilitates itself well to the normal grip and the reverse grip, however it is not as comfortable with the blade facing backwards in your hand, still usable, but not as luxurious feeling as the standard grip. I have several knives (fixed-blade and folder) and this is my favorite every day carry, not only because of its quality, but mainly because it is MADE IN USA.
